Took a JVC 5 disk cd changer that stopped working that was manufactured in 1993. It's part of my old surround sound system that my daughter wants because she was 2 when I bought it and grew up listening to it. It works perfectly now and the repair cost was not bad. 30 years of use. I couldn't replace it for what I paid to repair it and I'm sure the quality of a new unit would not be as good. Now I need to call them and see if I can get the reciever in for a check up and cleaning. Great place. Get your stuff fixed there

Super cool guys... Called for advice in my own repair project and they had no problem giving me some pointers! Would have been easy for them to say bring it in and pay for repairs but I got the feeling he wanted my synth to be repaired as quickly and easily as i did! I will definitely be back for anything beyond my repair expertise!!!

I'd like to thank Rainbow Electronics once again for keeping my equipment working. I've had them repair brands such as Halfer, BGW, DBX and most recently one of my Bryston Amplifiers. The team there always communicates the issue that is found, returns the old parts and remains professional. These guys are not cheap but here's the deal - They're good (VERY good) and they back their work up. I've been in the pro audio industry for over 25 years and yes, I do a lot of my own basic bench repair. But when it's beyond my level of technical skill, this is where our gear goes.

I had a great experience here. I took my fender super champ x2 since it was making some cracking and sizzling noises. The amp was under the 5 years warranty. They told me that the turnaround was 2 weeks and that it would cost me $95 if they didn't find any problem or fender considered the noise "normal". I called the day before the 2 weeks passed and they told me that the amp was ready. I picked it up and went straight home to plug it. I played for a few hours and indeed the noises are gone. The gentleman at the shop explained what he did and they told me that if there was any problem I can take it back. Overall the lady and the gentleman I interacted with were very respectful, professional and straightforward. I would definitely recommend this place. I'm very grateful and happy for their service.

Friendly, knowledgeable service at a reasonable price. I trusted them with an expensive Roland synth, and they came through. They're also an authorized dealer for a number of brand names, so ordering parts is no problem. They're the place to go in Sac!

Rainbow Electronics is awesome! My amp was having some issues, but it was still under warranty. Rainbow was the closest authorized repair shop, so I brought it to them. They were extremely communicative and patient with my questions. They were also extremely fast, getting the work done in half the time they estimated it would take. The best part is that the issue with my amp is now totally fixed and the amp sounds better than ever! I will absolutely be bringing my gear to them from now on, and I don’t even live nearby, but it’s worth the drive - that’s how good they are!

Brought my McIntosh tube amplifier in for repairs. I wanted it serviced by someone knowledgeable of the brand and of tube amps. In short, the repair was performed to my expectations and the amp plays perfectly. Rainbow is what I would characterize as an "old school" electronics repair shop. I'm glad they're still around.

I’ve had a lot of amps and stereo equipment worked on here over the years and have always been satisfied with the service. To the reviewers complaining about the prices, they tell you up front that it’s 125$ minimum. So if you have a problem with that, why would you even go there in the first place? Check other shops and you will find similar rates. They’re running a business, not a charity.

I recently contacted Rainbow Electronics from a referral; I needed help finding someone who knew about sound in jukeboxes and the universe must of have been on my side; because John was super friendly; knowledgeable, smart and optimistic in what options I have to bring sound back to my jukebox my father left me when he passed.
